New York Area Position

This is an immediate position for two HVAC technician spots with a reputable company that has been around for over 20 years located in the L.I.C., NY area. They are looking for employees that are interested in growing with the company from Field Service Mechanic to Field Mgr. to Service Mgr. to PM. They would be working on a lot of Hi-end projects and would be provided with a company vehicle, laptop and cell phone.

Responsibilities:
The qualified candidate will repair, install, troubleshoot, and service HVAC systems in industrial, municipal, and residential buildings. They will consistently be working in the field investigating HVAC units and diagnosing them, usually with a laptop computer, and determining how long and how much it will cost to troubleshoot or repair. The candidate will be working of off MEP (mechanical/electrical/plumbing) blueprints. They will also be filling or draining HVAC and related coolant equipment, troubleshoot 5-10 ton HVAC units (both mechanically and electrically), diagnosing HVAC units with a laptop, cutting tubing and piping, assembly and connection of the electrical systems pertaining to the HVAC units, and pressurizing units with Freon.

Requirements:
-Must be able to lift 70lbs.
-Must be certified to handle and use Freon. (Refrigeration Certified)
-Must be able to read MEP blueprints/drawings.
-Must have a clean driver’s license.
-Should have experience using a laptop in the field to diagnose HVAC units
-Must be able to pressurize 5-10 HVAC units with Freon.
-Must be willing to have a background check performed.
