Does anyone have some old software that calculates manual J that they would like to sell me. I am just a homeowner and all the programs I see for sale are way out of my price range!

hvac-talk.com has some software for 39.95 for residential load calculation that is very user friendly...

Hello, Go to www.wrightsoft.com and download the Demo Version of Right J Residential, you can use it to run the load on your home, the only thing you cannot change is the Bin Weather Data, which is based on Washinton, DC. Check those values against your area, they may be close enough.
