Hi,

Saw a previous post by Larry who seems to be having a similar problem. The only difference I have is, the little red error light blinks once (slowly) then blinks again, etc.

My symptoms are - after a period of time about sometimes longer sometimes shorter the unit turns off. The only way to get it going again is to turn the thermostat to off and then turn it on again.

During the time it is off that is when the LED is blinking.

Model GMNT100-4

Thanks for your help.

My Goodman Gmnt had the same problem. The instructions were hazy on the blink sequence...(often I would find it not operating, but NO LED blink. Once in while, I would catch it on the third (?) failure and the LED was blinking on a ONE-TIME REPEAT cycle.

Required recycling of power every time; would work for hours or days, then fail. Started hearing "popping...gargling...funny noises" from exhaust vent.

With help from service guy, narrowed it down to the GASKET of the draft inducer motor (ie, the gasket between combustion chamber and inducer.) He did NOT have a spare...but used silicon caulk to firmly fasten it in place. Worked! no further failure. Apparently, the gasket was flapping... and causing pressure fluctuations, which caused the pressure sensor to shut down the cycle; whereupon...a few minutes later, it would try again (third time: hard down!)

I have TWO goodmans...and will wait for warm weather to take off draft inducer motor and investigate that gasket!! Here in Minnesota, I do not want to risk no heat...!
