I have noticed my energy bill ($250+) has been a bit higher than anticipated for my 690 sq foot condo. On Saturday, I observed that my AC unit ran for the most part of the day while the digital thermostat was set on 76 the temperature registered at 82 degrees. To avoid even higher energy bills during these 100 degree summer days, I moved the thermostat closer to 82 in order to give the AC unit a rest.

Does it sound as if I'm looking to replace the unit? It's a small condo but has the original unit from 1985! I plan to sell the condo within the next 6 months so I am not looking to inject a ton of money into replacing the AC. It's a roof mount fixture on a 3 story building...any price range of what I'm looking to pay to update it? Any recommendation on getting it fixed correctly at a decent price?

Thanks Tray

Have you inspected the air filter?

If they don't find ya handsome nor handy surgery may help!
