No frost or ice on evaporators, in fact with only one of the compressors running there is not much cooling going on at all. I know the one showing an actual vacuum on the suction side indicates a complete restriction such as a failed TXV, can dryers cause the same symptoms? Most of the ones reading low suction are reading around 35 lbs. PSIG with 300+ on high side. I tried bleeding off high and low sides for possible air in system, but comes back to original readings with charge. All are at 40 lbs or less and are not cooling?? Also, units are only 2 years old.

I've had this same problem on Trane package units a couple of times, and it turned out being plugged up filter driers. Get yourself a good thermometer and check your liquid line temp on either side of the filter, and that will likely verify my suspicions. And do yourself a favor by purging with N2 when you weld in the new ones to keep the system clean.

If it don't fit force it.

If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyways.

I know this is late just read it. YES a filter drier can cause restriction. They can desinigrate and clog up TXV or orfices.
To test filter drier, take a befor and after temperature reading on the copper lines. If more than 1 degree difference then its restricting the freon.(yes i know there a slight pressure difference). The best advice i can give u is turn off unit and let pressures equilize. Then watch for action of restriction at the filter/drier, TXV or fix orfice, capulary tubs at the destributer tube. It may take a few tries to find it. Get some ice to check TXV.
And just FYI I cant remmeber if I ever found air in a system!
Think its a myth lol.(maybe in the real old days)
Always dirty coils and freon restriction, bad TXV.
Over charge system with a TXV will only give u high sub cool, high electic bils and a compressor thats going to die sooner.

need superheat and subcooling. sounds like a restriction or solenoid valve closed if theres one on system.please remit variables for correct answere.

His grace is sufficient.
