Wanted: HVAC Apprentice position in Sacramento, Ca. Hi, I am looking to begin an apprenticeship program with a firm in Sacramento. I am a college graduate who has been in the financial markets and is looking to revamp his career into HVAC Commercial Refrigeration. I'd appreciate any help as to who might be hiring or just some good advice from the field. My email address is jansac@sbcglobal.net or call me at 916 332 3257. Ask for Jason. If you were me how would you go about making a career?
Again, greatly appreciate your time and advice...Thank you.
Thank you.

Hi, If your interested in the field then your best bet is to start calling some companys in your area and asking them. If you have no experience at all I would recommend a trade school 6-9 months or try to join a union and get in like that. The problem with starting in residential is that it can give you bad habits, you need a more professional environment if you really want to get ahead. I finished my apprenticeship a year ago and I'm very happy about my situation as a Journeyman clearly making twice what my friends make who got stuck in residential. I'm currently located in Seattle, WA. I would try Cal-Air first they have a good reputation. Hope that helps.

I'VE BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY SINCE I WAS TWELVE, BUT I'M IN CHICAGO. FIRST, DO YOU HAVE ANY RELATED EXPERIANCE? IF NOT IT WOULD NOT BE A BAD IDEA TO START IN THE RESIDENTAL MARKET. IT WOULD GIVE YOU A PRETTY GOOD IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE UP AGAINST.
