It said the batteries were getting low then the next morning the thing was shut off....it is really cold in here. I bought new batteries put them in the right way and checked it 4 or 5 times...It does not work at all...wont turn on....I cannot find the manual anywhere. Please help!!

Sounds like you lost power, thus the thermostat was running on batteries and eventually died. Probably something electrical went wrong. Check for power (24V) at R to W.

Is this a furnace or heat pump. if it's a furnace Jump R and W and see if the furnace turns on. if it's doesn't it's not the thermostat.

What model number is the thermostat I can find a manual pretty quick.

If I'm not mistaken that thermostat should display check ac when 24 volts is lost. (no 24 volt power to stat from equipoment)
