Help, I just attempted to upgrade my standard thermostat to a programable. The wires on the standard are W, G, R, C & Y. I connected them all to the corresponding terminals on the Honeywell model CT3451A (G,Rc,R,W & Y)with the exception of the blue wire which was on C. I coneected this one to Rc.

Neither heat or air comes on. Can you tell me if ths blue wire should be on Rc?

Thanks

R and Rc are both power wire so jump them together and connect it to R. C is common just tape this up, do not use it or you will short something out.

Xenos.

The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.

You may have already blown a fuse or circiut breaker inside the air handler.
