I have been working on trying to keep r-141b (acutally Genesolv 2000) under 40 deg F, without keeping it in a refrigerator. I am working on putting it through its own refrigeration cycle. First off, I would like to put an expansion vavle on the current system. The only problem is I am pretty much limited to stainless steel, and I can only find EV's with brass as well. I also have a question about if I set it up correctly. It starts in a tank, then is directed to the compressor by gravity. It then goes through a filter, then to the HX and then to an open air-ed tank above the tank. The expansion valve should go inbetween the HX and the open aired tank. It then goes by gravity, back to the origianl tank. Is this the best setup to get max cooling for the r-141b? If not, how can I improve it? My goal is to be as cheap as possible. I appreciate the help.

Jason
