How does the johnson control oil psi switch work and how do you trouble shoot or test it?

It looks for a pressure differential, if the pressure difference does not occur in 90 Seconds the switch will open. To test it, I kill power to the compressor and keep the control circuit energized. If the contactor does not de-energize in 90 – 120 seconds the oil pressure control is either wired wrong or is defective.
