""PF" on the display screen?!?!" , posted Fri 1 Oct 18:17user profileedit/delete messagepost reply

I have a Totaline Thermostat CPV220 with a temper...

I am trying to turn my heat mode on but I am getting "PF" letters on the display screen.....

The main question is what is wrong, and what can I do to fix it.

Thanks,
Tony

Is this a new thermostat ? Why I ask is it may need a common wire however I seem to recall the possibility of Carrier having thermostats that required a resistor installed on the W terminal at the furnace to keep the thermostat powered during heating.

Well, it is about two years old....and it has been working great until about a week or 2 ago.

Nothing has really changed, except for a flood came threw, but nothing about the furnace good wet. Now the stand-alone A/C was just about under water, but I threw the main breaker right away.

Thanks for the quick response.

For a test Jump r and W at the thermostat and see if the furnace operates. That would be R and W1 on that one I belive
