I was invited to a presentation today on a new compressor design. This compressor is Oil less and has no bearings . The shaft runs on a bed of electromagnets and their sizes range from 60 to 240 tons. Just thought I would give a little information on a new emerging technology.

More information can be found at www.turbocor.com

Just checked out the web site you gave. It is an interesting concept but will have to prove itself in the market place. Thanks for the heads up.

All refrigerants are safe - All refrigerant are dangerous. The difference is YOU !!!

Is this perhaps a York Chiller? Trane is working with ceramic bearings (no oil). Lots of interesting things happen in this career field.

I believe it’s Dunham-Bush, using it in their chillers, Eng-Air, Mc-Quay and Mammoth are using it in their roof top’s.
