need to know how to wire thermostat, what colors go where, i have 8 wires and i dont think it was wired right when i bought the house, need to know what wire goes to what terminal

This needs to be in residential for starters... Furthermore, you've provided NO data whatsoever as to the make, model, etc. of the application. From the 8-wire reference, you've proabably got a heat pump.... However, we can't guess/speculate in order to help.
Provide as much info as possible as to the data specs and we'll be more than happy to assist. No offense intended, but depsite the internet being a great tool, there's no way to see through to your house!! :)
