Hey all. I was wondering what a fair price is for a reconditioned Frick 100 HP, 100 ton compressor for an office HVAC system.
I really know very little about this, but would appreciate any feedback regarding this matter.
The old unit that has now failed was a nearly identical unit, 18 years old. The unit being pitched is warranted by Frick.
If you could let me know what a fair price for the cost of the unit plus install, I would be very grateful.
Thanks.

The odds of someone giving you an accurate estimate on line is slim especially when the compressor is unknown. Obviously if it’s 100 tons it either a screw or centrifugal. Just the costs to get in place could be several thousand.

The quote for the unit and install is about $23,000.
I am almost certain it is not a screw system, but a centrifugal.
Thanks.

Installed at 23 sounds on the low side to me but then again it may be not all that hard to get to.

Thanks. I appreciate your prompt reply.
I think my HVAC guy is indeed honest and a hell of a nice guy.
This is the first time I've been faced with a bill this big, so it threw me for a loop.
