i have a rheem roof top unit, that just stopped working after i turned the unit off, by way of the thermostat to sevice filters. I cannot get the fans , ac or heat to operate. I have 240 volts going to the unit,. i checked thermostat even replaced with another that I had and still no luck. Unit is maybe 2 years old. Could it be a transformer? 240 volts to 24 volts 40va. I repeat again unit was operating perfectly fine. It is about 5 tons and 120000 btu.

I may have this thing confused with another model, but I'm thinking that there is a little fuse/circut breaker on the 24v side of the electric system that sits on one of the side panels in the control cabinet.

If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyways.

Did u check for 240 inside the unit? Some times breakers or disconnects go bad after they been switch off and on. If u think thats ok then check 24vac at R & G(Turn T-stat off).
