When our church was built in 1953 the duct work was lined with insulation and the same duct work is still used today. What concerns us now is that some of the soot and/or insulation is being expelled out into the church's sanctuary.
My question is this: Was abestos used to insulate the interior of the duct work or is it something that is not considered harmful?
We are also concern about mold and mildew as well as harmful bacteria becoming airborn into the sanctuary.
We are having samples analyzed.
Does anyone have any thoughts
