I have day and night furnace. Today the heat would not kick on. I have replaced the high limit switch before by a technician. This seems to be acting the same way it did before. Is there a way to test the switch? In previous threads someone mentioned an LED. I noticed that blinking will that help me? THe switch is HH12ZB170. The blower kicks on but the furnance will not ignite. Can someone give me some pointers before I go out and spend $100 for someone to spend five minutes and tell me what my problem is?

Don't assume that because a "SAFETY" switch is opening that it is faulty. It is opening for a reason. What is the flashcode the furnace is giving you? The codes should be somewhere in the installation manual that came with your furnace or on the furnace itself.
