i have a 10 ton condenser replaced compressors and charged system filter dryer was not changed suction line begins to freeze starting at the compressor what could cause this other than in correct charge air filters are clean and evaporater is clean with good air flow

First, have you ever heard of punctuation?
Second, have you checked the temperature drop across the drier? Anything greater than 2 degrees and you need to change the drier. Are you real sure you weighed in the correct amount of refrigerant? I have seen trade veterans make mistakes when weighing in charge.
In some of these posts the answer is SO obvious. Do you folks do this for a living or are you do-it-youselfers? Here are some links to places you can go for more education. http://www.natex.org /, http://www.hvactraining.com/nelehvon.html

u might have liquid flood back to the compressor since it has frost build up .. hurry and fix the problem, otherwise compress will be hurt deeply...............
i reconmmend u replace the filter and get a proper txv with a proper setting...
if there frost build up on your txv (metering device) , then there might be air or dirt in my system..... which blocking the refrigerant flow and cuz a extreamly low evaporator press, then cuz the compressor building up frost...
there might be more problem build up later if u dont get it fix..

since you have indicated that you did not change the filter/drier, one might assume the systems existing drier has reached its capacity to hold moisture, and the excess moisture 'may' be freezing at the expansion device causing a lower than normal saturated suction temperature, ie, frost on the suction line. couple of questions: 1. how did you determine the correct charge? 2. what type of expansion device does the system have? 3. did you re-use the old refrigerant, or put in new? 3a. if you re-used the old refrigerant, did you filter it when you put it back in? 4. did you pressure test the system for leaks? 4a. if so, how much pressure did you use, and for how long did you test it. 5. did you evacuate the system before you recharged it? 5a. if so, how much vacuum did you acheive, and how long did it hold the vacuum before you broke it. 6. why did the old compressor fail?

I noticed your answer is much accurate. If u know about roof top units let me know the warning signal of roof top unit is beeps or blinking LED?

Since it is a 10 ton i assume its got a TXV. Things to check are filter/drier for sweating, TXV for proper action. Assumption that u have no air blockage from your statment. Always change filter/drier when opening system.

Charge it by subcooling, but first pressure wash the blower and evap coil. CFM d/n mean Cant Fool Myself.
