HELP!!,
I am working on a tough one, it's a Heil pachage unit installed on a modular home, way oversized.
It had a fire in the E-box in Feb. and someone replaced the board and some of the wiring.
Now if you turn the stat to fan on the blower will run fine but in auto and calling for heat it will not bring on the blower.
The heat starts and runs fine but no fan.
I replaced the board Twice! thinking it was bad and replaced the blower motor thinking it had a bad winding that would not show it's face until powered up...nope.
I even tried isolating the motor from the board using a relay and with the heat terminal off the board energizing the relay thinking maybe the boards relay cannot handle start up current.
Need to know if anyone has seen this or has advice on this.
There is no lit. on what makes the board turn on the fan (delay times, what input tells it to run, etc.)
This unit has a hony smart valve, (cringe)i wonder if it has anything to do with the boards input, no info other than I know it is looking at the roll out switch and the high limit. (both ok).
HELP!

Well if the unit heats up then u have either a blower motor bad(dont think thats it because it run in fan on position) or a missed wired/bad board. On the board there should be a spot that says something like "heat" where the red or blue wire goes from the motor. I bet that is your problem. It should be next to the "cool" for fan on board.

Thanks MasterTech,
I have allready replaced the motor, and the board twice.
I have double checked the wiring to the weak print on the unit.
There is three terminals, heat, cool, and constant.
It will run in constant and cool but acts like what ever tells the board to start it's delay at the start of the heat cycle isn't happening.
They don't tell you the inner workings of the board, I.E. inputs.
I hate to be a parts changer but I am going to change out the smart valve thinking it is the only logical thing that plugs into the board and is looking at the limit and roll out switch(both OK).

If u put the fan to the on position and it works and then turn the heat on and it works with the fan on then i say you have a bad board.

I found the problem!
It turned out to be in the control circuit of the "smart valve" and shock and amazement there is a recall on the board for causing fires!.
I was on the phone with ICP tech support more than once with no mention of a recall.....hmmm.
I have to call another tech support office to find out what is being done about the recall, new board?.
