I have york P2MPD16N06401A upflow furnace. My new ignitor stays on? (I don't think it's supposed to.....lol)
Any ideas.......
Could I have cracked the ceramic base of the little copper rod on the other side of the ignitor while fooling with the clip connectors; thereby loosing continuity and signal in some sort of relay/thermocouple.
PS: Thank you responders for all the information I found on the "Rollout open" issue in this furnace.
I'm going down to switch the polarity.....Someone please watch out for fires and blackouts in the south Denver Metro area.
Thanks......
Thanks one and all.....:)

damn brother help me out and tight yourself down to a tree and don't kill yourself jejejeje just replace the control board and it will take car of the problem siquence for the furnace inducer motor comes on vacuum switch closes ignitor ignites about 16 seconds gas valve is energized gas is ignited and ignitor turns off if all that happens and ignitor stays on replace the control box if the flame roll out went out you might have a cracked heat exchanger you said new ignitor stays on may be the old one went out because it stayed on too long and tripped the flame roll out switch before it burned up for being on too long i still tell you that the control board is sending a signal to the ignitor when it shouldn't it still leads me to tell you that the control board is out
