heat pump and oil furnace combination, have only six wires running to stat location ,require more to operate unit with outdoor sensers through thermastat.Is there a way to instsall outdoor thermastat to control heat pump operation

Yes you can purchase an outdoor switch over thermostat and emergency heat relay. However your better off just running 2 new wires.
