Anyone have an opinion or a link to some good information on ultraviolet air filtration? I have an uncle of mine who is looking at installing one in his home heat pump and I am thinking that he is just being paranoid about germs.

They do make a difference though. I was kinda sceptical about them but found one for a decent price and installed it on my system at home. I noticed a difference in about a month or so after installing it. I wake up less plugged up in the sinuses and the air seems to have a fresher smell to it. I would try honeywell's web site and see what they are currently offering as their newest models. Expect to pay at least $150-$200 for the unit and aditional cost if it is going to be installed by a contractor. The bulbs also have to be changed out on a yearly basis.
