We have an old Lennox Thermostat (marked LR1620) that we we like to replace with a Lux PSP511 programmable. The terminals on the back of the two are labeled differently. The Lennox has terminals labeled W1, W2, G, Rc, Rh, Y2, Y1 in that order left to right. The LUX has terminals labeled G, Y, W, RH, B, O, RC, C in that order left to right. Can you tell me how these translate?

If old t'stat wire with colors correctly
g= green inside blower fan
y= yellow runs compressor in a/c mode
w= white heat mode(either furance or compressor)
Rh= blue (usually common on transformer)
b= black for outside temp sensor
o= orange operates revering valve (depends on your system if energized in heat or cool mode)
Rc=red hot wire from trans former

That's all I know on Sunday. I know more during the week when I am switched on

Women can fix it too!

Thank you. This is a great help. We are a non-profit community theater and every penny counts. I didn't want have to hire someone to come in and wire these up. We bought them so we could save money. I look forward to hearing more from you. Thanks again.
