See if that works. It has everything already in it including a screen shot.

I say, let the DX control temp, and add a steam injection humidifier for low winter humidity and a renewing dessicant dryer wheel to remove excess moisture when humidity is excessive in the summer. The dryer could be added to a bypass duct, depending on the air volumes involved. Here is a perfect time to apply the old KIS formula, KEEP IT SIMPLE.
Low humidity---add moisture; high humidity---remove moisture (Independent of the DX control of temperature.) Good Luck!

(Yes, the DX will remove significant moisture.)

We have a steam humidifier on each unit that goes full bore in the Winter months but still can't get to 45%. What could possibly be done different for that? Is their a way to check for outside air breaching the system?

What about a non-destructive smoke bomb to trace airflow and leakage?

(Here's a wild thought: Could all that surface area in a HEPA filter be acting as a dryer to reduce or remove moisture, and inadvertently effect humidity?)
