working on a Lennox rooftop. the thermostat calls for heat then the unit starts working. somewhere in between the flames must go off. I open the panel and the flames come back on. The highest temp it gets in the room is 62 degrees. What is causing this problem? I hear the unit igniting itself over again.

if you have an ohm's meter, unplug motor at quick connect an you should have continuity through the motor windings. if not replace motor. Antonetz r. p. hope this helps, let me know.

Just a guess, but maybe it's going out on limit. The best place to start would be to check and make sure you filters and evaporator coil are clean. Also check for cracked heat exchangers.
If in doubt call a pro !

I checked all limits and the filters. I then replaced the limits. It still goes off on the limit at the tube heat exchanger. It seems like there is some sort of a restriction but I can't find it The temp gets to 69, which isn't bad but the customer wants it warmer.

the limit at the tube heat exchanger. I checked to see if it was cracked but I didn't see anything.

Your problem is the heat exchanger, its either cracked or rotted-

i recently had almost the same problem, replace flame sensor or remove & steel wool. insure with thermometer that heat exchanger temps. are as designed temp. rise through unit, s.a vs r.a. check flames for roll out when blower kicks on, note: this indicates a bad heat exchanger, insure your themostat anticipator is properly set & you are not losing 24v signal from thermostat. Antonetz r.p. hope this helps, let me know.
