I am working on a Trane Voyager unit that is about 14 years old, it has to be reset daily. Our old service manager (the original Hack!) would not let the service techs in our shop work on any RTU's and did not share any information. He quit and I am left holding the bag. I know it is a negative pressure gas valve and it is at 6500 feet in Colorado. He changed the board even though that was not the issue, and the igniter went out and he replaced it. My thoughts are that the igniter is the flame sensor as well and it was possibly not installed correctly. I did close up one of the combustion air holes as instructed by Trane to try and get it to settle down. I cycled the unit for 2 hours and did not get a failure. We just performed the PM's on these units last month. I have 4 on one building and this is the only one I have any trouble with.
Any thoughts??

Man I wish these people would change the filter.

sounds like a familiar problem I had incurred in the past,,same type of gas train, yes unit ignitor doubles as a flame sensor on these units, but if unit operated for hours at a time that is doubtful.Check amp draw at combustion motor to see if slowing motor or hate to say check heat exchanger
