I have a 1987 Rheem gas furnace and I am replacing the blower motor. The motor has seven wires: black, blue, white, brown/white, brown, yellow, and red. My furnace has black, red and white. I am trying to connect the motor (3/4 hp 115v), run capacitor and furnace. What wires go where?
Thank You

new motor black[hi speed] blue [med. hi speed] yellow [med. low speed] red [low speed] the two browns\white go to new capacitor. then connect what speed you want for cooliing & fan on, to the black wire of your furnace, & the speed you want for heating mode to the red wire of you furnace, [white to white,[common]note cap off other unused leads. if after you connect speeds, check air flows & if you don;t like swicth to another speed.

thank you, it worked. But what was difficult to understand was that the white wire from the furnace was originally connected to the capacitor from the old motor.
Thank You
