Hi i a store and i had installed a 2 stage cooling 7 1/2 package unit. it seems that only one compressor runs i was wondering if you could tell me the low voltage wiring how its supposed to go. it already has a 2 stage thermostat. the reason to believe this is because the compressor turns on when we press on the contactor. so please help me .

Typical low voltage wiring
R Red (24v Power)
C Black (Common, If Used)
G Green (Fan)
W1 White (1st stage heat)
W2 Orange (2nd stage heat, If Equiped)
Y1 Yellow (1st Stage Cooling)
Y2 Blue (2nd Stage Cooling)
Pushing in the compressor contactor is by passing all pressure safeties and low voltage control from t-stat. Have a servive technician check your system charge. New units have problems too. Call a pro before you void a warranty
