Alrighty folks. This is an ongoing water issue. For comfortmaker/arcoaire rtu's 3 ton thru 6 1/3 pgb body. (The body style that takes the 2-20x30x2 filters) Water seems to consistently make its way on hot humid days from the pan, onto the filter track, then on the bottom the insulated return cabinet, and sometimes down the return into the space.
Is anyone familiar witht this issue?
A lot of people saying one thing dosn't make it true.

I had an issue with Engineered air RTU 40 ton that had two coils and if the unit was low on charge on the bottom coil it would pull water that drained down from the top coil. It is easier to move air thru a dry coil, so lower coil was low on gas wouldn't pull humidity and would stay fairly dry, top coil was pulling humidity and was wet, I was getting more air thru the lower one, path of lease resistance, which was pulling the condonsate from top coil right off the bottom one when it ran down! Had to call the manufacture to find that out.

Check to make sure there is a trap on the condensate line if not there will be a vacuume inside fan chamber holding the condensate in the pan and wont let it drain out until fan shuts off and if you have fan in on position without a trap it wont drain properly thus overflowing into chamber.
