I have a goodman furnace in my home, its small, and will start the blower, but will shut off. If i flip the power switch a few times it will try to come on but will not, then finally will come on and stay on. It takes doing that nearly every time. the indicator light flashes three times showing the pressure valve, unsure whether there would be a blockage or not, seems to me to be electrical in the switch. any one ever see that problem?

the induction blower, the small one, it will kick on for a sec, then stop, switching the power off then on will cause it to stay on if done a few times. I checked a bit but not sure how to check very far up.

does the inducer motor have large round plastic housing and a pvc ventpipe?

No, it is just a small motor without a housing sitting on metal blower housing with a plastic, possibly pvc, adapter going to the exaust pipe.

yes it is going through the cycle you described, the vent itself is metal, only the adapter from blower housing to vent is plastic.

To due a quick check of your vent for blockage which can sometimes be difficult. If you can disconnect it at furnace and then try to start furnace. If it starts shut if off immediatly and find your blockage in vent piping. I have had this problem myself and this saves a lot of messing around with switches if it is the problem.

Before digging in too far, make sure the tube to the pressure switch is clean, also the barb on the inducer housing that it connects to. The do clog, and could cause the burner to cycle the way you describe. Does the furnace have a drain?

where would the drain be?
