to start off i have very little HVAC knowledge. I am replacing my Honeywell t87f thermostat with a ritetemp 6022 programmable thermostat. I have followed all direction and wired it up however, i am now experiencing some problems. (i.e. the fan blows cold air for a while and never kicks the heat on) all of the wires matched colors except for my blue wire, i have no idea where it should be goin. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks!!

you need the other side of the transformer C coming up to the subbase of the new stat you have to have a true 24v on (R to C).the old stat worked on a feedback and there was no solid state that required 24V so it all worked on feedbacks thru Y,G,W with the T87....if you don't have a spare wire for C from the subbase to the furnace use the Y (might be YELLOW)cooling wire for now( SHUT OF POWER ON THE FURNACE).flip it to C on the base and remove it off Y in the furnace and wire it ti the C side of the 24V on the exsisting TR

It ain't going to get any lighter looking at it!

Shut off your furnace (main power). Open the covers and follow the thermostat cable into the unit to where the wires are attatched. WRITE DOWN the color of each and the letter of the terminal it's on (R, W, Y, G, C, etc). Pull your new stat off the wall and make sure they match. See it that does it.
