We have the Honeywell T8132C1003 programmable thermostat. The other day all keys stopped responding and the display remained frozen at a certain temperature, though the clock continued to run (but a wrong time). We have replaced batteries, disconnected and then reconnected the wiring. We have put the batteries in backwards for 10 seconds to reset. But none of this worked. Is there a keyboard lock/unlock feature that somehow was tripped (does not appear in onlne manual)? Any thoughts much appreciated.

try this out.

http://yourhome.honeywell.com/yourhome/Applications/TechLit/TechLitSearchResults.aspx

go to the 'owners manual and literature search' on the right side of the screen, bring down the literature menu and click on installation manuals, then type in T8132C in the box below it, then click on the red arrow. this will bring up a menu of t-stats. note the production dates associated with them and look for the approximate age of your stat.

you prolly oughta just get a new stat.

This is what I recently put in my house. cost about a buck and a quarter, but easy to navigate and can lock the screen three ways to keep curious fingers away.

good luck.

I would also try removing the batteries for one hour. If this fails to reset your thermostat, replace it.

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
