Got a call on a 30GXR135 screw chiller (R-134A). A-1 circuit drops out after start-up. Get a fault code for low oil level. Verified oil level switch open, should be NC. No signs of oil loss. External oil pump and oil return solenoid check out.
Also getting fault code P998, which isn't in the install manual. Has anyone had a loss of oil, won't return to the comp. Had something similar happen before, but it was on a Trane RTAC screw, and low pressure return fed oil from the chiller barrel, not an external pump like on the Carrier.

check charge and check exv operation. dual ckt/ in config check that ckt a is 45% capacity.
