I am working on an Air-cooled Water Chiller, it has been experiencing repeated gas leaks at the condenser tube-fin joints. Even after welding up the joint and doing leak and pressure tests when recharged, the joints may leak again at the same or different point after some time.

What could be causing this repeated leaks and how can the problem be permanently solved?

Thanks for your response(s).

New to this forum but I have had a similar problem. I found out hte txv were over feading at a low load situation, causing floodback to the compressor (scroll) this was causing the condenser header to vibrate and thus leak

Make absolutely certain that the metals are clean, use flux, use a high silver content filler material (45% and up) and lots of heat. Also, remove all previous brazing material and start over.

Thanks for your comment Jojo, but I don't think the problem is entirely from the imperfection in the brazed joint. This is because the leaks sometimes come at another joint different from the brazed joint.

I have been wondering whether something else is causing an abnormally high pressures in the condenser tubings.
