I have a Trane Ptac mod#ptec. heater works fine,a.c. works on start up for about 1.5 mins. then compressor cuts out when relay drops out and won't pull back in unless you take power off unit.Then same thing again.Any ideas?Thanks

Does the indoor fan ramp up, or does it barely rotate. Some PTAC's have a indoor coil temp thermistor which must sense a large enough temp change before the fan will run at 100%. You got to know what you are looking for and need the service manual to test the thermistor. Probably going to have to call the Pro's

my experience with ptac units have been alot of bad boards.does it have a low pressure shut off.
