Hi,
I need to change out my old thermostat (Honeywell Chronotherm III to a RTH7400). Not sure whether to follow the Coventional or Heat Pump wiring instructions. My current system is a Heat/Cooling system (Gas Heat, Electric cooling), with an auxillary or emergency heat (electric). The wires I have are as follows:
R C O Y1 & W1 ( one wire connected to both with a bridge) E W2 G
It seems like the instructions are telling me to follow the Conventional, but all the wires don't match.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Use heatpump. R = Rc & R (use provided jumper) C = C O = O/B Y1 & W1 = Y (no jumper here on new stat) E = E W2 = Aux G = G
You must configure your new stat to match your system. option 170 = 7 (multistage heatpump) 190 = 0 (O/B terminal is O) 240 = 9 (electric Aux heat)
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
