We have a Lennox G23 furnace with a Honeywell thermostat. Today, the fan stopped working. It took awhile to figure out it was the fan and not something funky with the thermostat, but pretty sure now it's not the thermostat.
The furnace keeps coming on, but then the fan won't run. After a few minutes, the fan gets too hot and shuts itself off.
We have no idea why this is happening. Giving the furnace a quick once-over didn't reveal any obvious problems. Not really a furnace type of gal (have never truly fixed one before), so wondering if anyone might have some ideas/suggestions?
The furnace is between 10-15 years old, but we've never had any trouble with it. We keep the filter changed, and blah-blah. We will be calling a service tech tomorrow, but thought if it was something really simple, it'd be nice to fix it ourselves tonight. And save that large service call!
