I am trying to install a desert springs humidifier. I have a Trane TWE065E The manual with the furnace mentions clipping the r to bk jumber and connecting the humidifier between r and bk. I did this and it did not work. We had wire hooked to R and into humidistat, out of humidistat to humidifier motor, out of motor back to bk. Nothing. Should the one out of the humidifier motor be going to C or Ground. We are stumped.
Thanks in advance.

I believe you may have misunderstood the usage of this terminal. If you connect a humidistat between R and BK and the humidity rises above the setting on this humidistat. The unit will lower its fan speed to allow the unit to dehumidify more. This has nothing to do with a Humidifier.
If the furnaces transformer can handle the load of the humidifier you are installing and if you are using a programmable thermostat you could get the 24 vac power for your humidifier from W and B.

Thank You xenos, that did it. Considering it is about 25 degrees here and according to the humidistat just 12% humidity, I really needed the humidifier.

One more question.. So since we clipped the jumper between r and bk, should we put wire on there to hook them back together?

The W terminal will only have power during heating. If you want to run all the time power it from R.
