Theromostat: Honeywell T87F (classic)
System: Heat and AC
Problem: Switch heat to "on" on thermostat, house heats up to set temp.
System switches off and does not come one again. Set switch to "off" and back to "on", heat comes back on.

Is this a termostat problem? If not, what?

Paul

Sounds like a furnace problem. If the logic in the furnace notices a problem it will lock off. Resetting power ( thermostat on then off). Will reset it. What is the make and model of the furnace and note if there is a light on the board as it may give you a trouble code.

Hi, I have the same problem too, except that my furnace is probably different from the person who posted this thread.

I set it to a temperature, and it heats to that temperature, but then it shuts off, and it doesn't come back on again automatically to maintain that temperature. Can someone please give me some help? Thanks

I have a Lennox G14 series furnace.

If it’s been awhile since you have had maintenance done to you furnace you may need it. The pulse has 1 air and gas neoprene flapper as well as a spark plug and sensor that seams to require changing about every 10 years.
