We have a Lennox HS29 that was installed 4 years ago. Worked great up until now. The air is cool, not cold and it beeps (actually sounds like a low tone) every 3-4 minutes. When it does this, the lights flicker like they usually do when it kicks on so it must be trying to start something but I'm clueless as to what. The fan is running fine. Any ideas?

This sounds like the compressor is short cycling. When it's running see if the larger line is cold. If it's not then the unit may be short on refrigerant. It could be going off on a low pressure switch ( if the unit has one ) or the internal overload inside the compressor. Make sure the wiring is ok at the capacitor, contactor, etc. Look for any burnt or loose wiring connections.
Keep Cool!

Sounds like you were just about dead on. A connector to the compressor had corroded through so it was unable to properly start. Thanks for the advice!

That is a symptom of a bad run capacitor. You better have it checked before something major happens.
