I'm in the middle of changing my Janitrol Fan motor. The old cap. has three posts with labeling. The new cap. has two post with no labels. The old one was wired as follows:

Yellow to HERM, Red and Yellow to C, and Brown to fan.

The new motor has the same number of wires. How do I wire the new cap? Does it matter wire the wires go?

I called a distributor and he told me that I could use the original dual cap. with the new motor. He said if I were to use the new cap. I would still use the original for the Common wire and wire the Herm and Fan to the new cap. on either post. I use the original cap. and all is well. Do you concur.
