I have a Honeywell T8411R Thermostat for my Goodman Split System unit. I have two Goodman's actually on seperate thermostats (both the T8411R) The units have 2 stage heating (regular and then the heat strips, and one cooling stage.

They are the most unreliable piece of garbage I have ever seen, can anyone reccommend a thermostat that is compatible to the above requirements that is also programmable??

Thanks

T8611R. The T8411R is the low end of their product line. But for reference what is the problem you are experiencing, it may just be a set up option.

I just cannot stand the large degree variance it has (5 degrees) it causes my A/C to run like crazy, just want something a little more reliable and programmable.

It could be the CPH setting, Standard is 3 cycles per hour therefore, it means 10 on 10 off. you may need a setting of 6 however any more than that is harmfull to the A/C.

This is a great thermostat. I have installed several and highly recommend it.
