When you are going to install any Hvac product and it depends on application, is application where your are installing it or what you are installing. Need this for a Market research job on HVAC installation. Thanks

Doris

The question I am working with is - Under what circumstances
would you recommend your Primary Line of HVAC equipment? So,
yes this has been very helpful. So application is more of 'type
of environment' that would not adversely affect the equipment?
About how long they plan to stay in residence - They do not
mention anything about Seering or Energy efficient with it, so I
cannot assume that's what they are inferring. I really
appreciate your assistance.

This is in relation to consumer home.
Is length of time they are going to spend in home an application?
Is if it is rental property an application?
If it is near the a sandy beach area an application?

Doris, in a circumstance where a person is putting equipment in a rental home or a vacation/cabin type home, I generally will give basic equipment prices not necessarily builders grade low end but not top of the line equipment unless the customer specifically asks for it. It's a catch 22 because some people can take offense and feel they are just getting ripped off spending that much on a system that they will not use (a rental) or rarely use (vacation home/cabin). On the other hand, you will always find those who are expecting to buy the best and are upset they don't get quoted "The Best". If you are wanting better than what the person quoted or his primary line, I would ask him to quote you on the other. My guess is, he was trying not to give you a 'hard sell".

We really need more info to answer this question but so far I will answer it like this....

By application I don't know if you are talking about low temp freezers, regular environmental household a/c, automobile a/c, chiller/boilers, water fountain, window units, etc....

All these different type of hvac are different applications.

Well, if you are a coastal home, then they make a unit for that "application" as the units are treated to be more corrosion resistant. I have never heard of a unit having a short or long term/use application. If you are meaning what SEER then I would see where a 16 SEER unit would not fit that "application" as you would probably never see the payback with the amount of use you would get. Did this help?
