I have installed a steam humidifier, National Environmental Products Model SKR N-TB2. The manufacture is of no help to my problem as they say they do not know anything about AMANA products. AMANA is no help either.
The unit runs great if I manualy start the fan then manualy adjust the humidistat to increase humidity.
I need to hook up the dry contact in the unit to control the furnace-A/C blower.
The dry contact is rated at 3amp, 24V. I have a AMANA model 80 SSE furnace. The connections on the solid state controller are Y, W, R, G, C. The humidifier calls for the fan when the humidistat demands humidity. It also requires a cool down period after the humidity is satified. Which contact do I use? Will it make a difference in heating or cooling demand cycle? I'm wondering if it will harm the controller I connect it to a low speed fan connection and the furnace unit calls for a high speed or visa versa.

Install the relay to close R to G.

Xenos.

The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.
