My father has recently made the decision to have refrigeration air installed in our home. He has spoken to two representatives from two different companies and isn't really sure at this point which of the two is the better choice. I would appreciate any feedback you guys can offer.

Here is what is on the table:

From Company A:

(1) Carrier 58CVA090116 80.00+ AFUE CVA 90,000 BTU Variable Speed Multipoise Gas Furnace
(1) Carrier 38TXA048*3 14.00 SEER 4.0 Tons Air Conditioner with Puron
(1) AllStyle AS48A364TDV Vertical Evaporator Allstyle Coil with Puron TXV
(2) Carrier TSTATCCP2S01 7 day Programmable 2H-1C
(1) Carrier 38TXA036*3 14.00 SEER 3.0 Tons Air Conditioner with Puron
(1) Carrier 58CVA070112 80.00+ AFUE CVA 70,000 BTU Variable Speed Multpoise Gas Furnace
(1) AllStyle AS36A364TDV Vertical Evaporative Allstyle Coil with Puron TXV

Warranty: 2yrs labor, 5yrs parts, 10yrs condenser, 20yrs heat exchanger

From Company B:
(2) 3.5 Tons 14 SEER Air conditioners
(2) 100,000/80% efficiency furnaces
(2) 3.5 tons 14 SEER Cooling Coils

All American Standard equipment here, by the way.

Warranty: 10yrs Air conditioner compressor, 20yrs Furnace Heat Exchanger, 5yrs furnace parts, 5yrs air conditioner parts, 1 yr labor. They also have what is called a lemon warranty, where if they have to service the machines too often, then they are completely replaced. Although I'm not really sure who determines what is "too often."

So there it is. There is only a $1 difference in the invoices, so I believe the deciding factor would have to be on the reputation of the brands Carrier Vs American Standard. I appreciate any help anyone can offer. Thanks.

2500 sq ft. house

Also, I tried the recalls link under the FAQ's page, but I am getting an error message when I click on it.
