This unit has a White Rogers 50E47-060 ignitor module that has a red flashing light.
At startup, the blower motor starts, the ignitor lights, the gas turns on and the burners light. Then after about 5 seconds the burners turn off. THis will cycle and only lights correctly after turning the unit power off, then back on. After a power off cycle, the unit won't light the first time then lights on the second try and works fine only to fail eventually.
Suggestions?

I would try cleaning the flame rod with steel wool or fine sand paper first .
