Have a Rheem furnace. It kicks on and runs it's course....all great. When it kicks off, it's off a couple seconds then kicks back on for about 3 seconds then goes off til the house cools down again. Why does it come back on for the few seconds? Thanks MUCH for your time!

The low limit thermal switch is set too high. I would set it at about 80 degrees. Mine was set at 100 and after I reset it , the problem went away.

limit switch turning fan on

residual posibly still in furnace off of heat exchanger or faulty limit switch
probally a honeywell

Put it on the wrong one. Sorry. Only the fan comes on.

Residual heat left in the exchanger like londonguy said. No big deal. Or you can set the on setting slightly higher if it annoys you.
