I woke-up this morning and my heating unit was not working. I have concluded that the pilot is out. My gas oven and gas water heater is working just fine.
There is an instruction plate mounted on the heating unit that reads as follows:
To lite pilate and main burner the
1. main gas supply valve and polite cock must be off for at least 5 minutes. Set tthermastat to lowest tenmperature. 2
2. Open pilate cock only and lite pilate burner at tip (if unit has reset button on autmatic gas valve, pressure regulator or pilate switch press reset button while litting pilate and hold for 45 seconds).
3. Turn on electric power supply if used.
4. Open main gas supply valve. Main burner will lite when thermastat is set above room termperature.
Does procedure seem reasonable?
