Hi,
I get 4 flashes "Open Limit Switch" [ where is this switch?]
This condition may be caused by: dirty filter[ new one]
improper sized duct system [ nope, it worked just fine before]
incorrect blower speed setting [ where it this?]
incorrect firing rate or faulty blower moter [ this is what happens, furnace starts fine, burnes come on fine, when it is time for the blower to start it doesn't] I can move the duct to look at the fan side of blower, I can't see very much of the other side of blower.
I have books or instructions of all the furnace and one for the new control box [ this is the 3nd one]
it doen't let me see a pic. of the Limit switch.
can anyone help me?

Pandy

I guess it would all depend on the type of heating system, the make and model.

Xenos.

The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.

Hi again,
thanks' for replying!
I have a Luxaire model # PCUHALD12n080A
this is what is happening..
I push all 5 reset buttons then everything goes ok and I give the blower fan a push and it [the furnace] runs fine.
then the blower fan sometimes wines and sometimes it stills runs and sometimes it stops...if it stops i just start all over again the 5 reset buttons giving the fan a push..it runs fine and wants to run..it is the fan that needs a push.
[I have had something wrong with this furnace all most every year.
I have put 2 control panels in.]
what if I give the fan a spray with wd40[ if i can reach it.]?
I have it in the basement [dirt] it sets on cement and 4 1/2 inch plywood in each corner
I feel they should have hung it from the rafters.I feel that if they had, i would not have had all the problems.
I have small heaters so I'm not to cold.
Thank you,
Pandy

May be too big a delay time for blower power and in the interim the it limits on the high temperature that has built up in the supply plenum.

If you have to 'push' the fan to make it go, sounds like you have blower motor problems............

If it don't fit force it.

If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyways.

But, I have this site to thank, for I knew what was wrong and It made it easy for them to fix it. I could not fix it myself.
so...THANK YOU !
I like to fix things myself so...I'll be back! :)
