I have a carrier gas furnace. The furnace will run for about 10 min, and then shut down. The thermostat blinks E2 then goes blank. The installer has been here at about 5 times.

E2 shows up on the thermostat, The l.e.d light on the furnace shows a code error but i do not have a way to read the error code.

It's how the lights flash, 3 long 3 short... normaly there is a chart on the door. Just tell us how it's flasing and we will tell you what it means.

Ok I have a problem with a Carrier gas furnace as well.
It is a horzontal 80+
Here is the numbers I gathered from it:
54raf050-08
series #0799a08840
That 54 might have been a 58
I found the roll out swith and high limit seperated so I temporarily bypassed them and it got rid of the 3 short blinks flashing. And now I am left with 3 long flashes there is no code sheet on the furnace anywhere to let me know what the codes mean. Anyone that can help I sure would appreciate it.

The code is 2 digits. a combination of short and long flashes is the error code.

What does it mean when it flashes 3 long flashes?

If it is a code it's not documented as all codes are 2 digits. Digit one is the number of fast flashes and digit 2 is the long flashes.
